Ireland · Slotora for restaurants

A restaurant booking system priced and set up for Ireland

€179 a month per location, billed in euro and set for Ireland rather than converted from sterling. No commission on bookings, no fee per cover — and a bill that shows VAT by class, set up for Irish rates, and a tips ledger for the 2022 Act.

Plus VAT where applicable. Try it free for 3 days when it opens; month to month after that.

The price, in euro

€179 per location

Everything included: unlimited bookings, covers, tables, staff and devices, with 0% Slotora commission on bookings from your own channels. It is a price set for Ireland, not the sterling figure run through an exchange rate.

Several restaurants

From 5 to 9 locations there is 10% off at every site; from 10, we quote. Irish sites form a group of their own, in euro.

The Founding offer

The Founding price for the first 100 paying restaurants is a sterling offer for the UK. Irish restaurants pay the one euro price, from the first day.

The booking side, the same good evening

Everything a restaurant in Galway shares with one in Glasgow is on its own page; in short:

  • Every booking on a real table, in rooms you draw to scale, with the host stand on a tablet at the door.
  • Walk-ins seated in one tap, and a waiting list guests can join themselves from a QR code by the door.
  • No-shows and late cancellations counted on each guest's card, and a booking page of your own with no commission.
  • Special days in one step: St Patrick's Day, St Stephen's Day, the October bank holiday — each with its own hours or closed.
  • Deposits and card guarantees by party size, day or event, charged through your own Stripe account once it is connected.

VAT on the bill, by class

Since 1 July 2026 VAT on restaurant and catering food in Ireland is 9%, down from 13.5%. Alcohol, soft drinks and bottled water stay at 23%, even when they come with the meal.

  • In Slotora each dish carries a VAT class, chosen by you for eating in and for taking away. The wine and the steak sit in different classes because you put them there.
  • The bill at the table shows VAT by class, whether it is one check, split by dish, by seat or into equal shares.
  • The sales reports export daily takings and VAT by class as CSV files for your accountant. The screen says plainly that it is not a tax return.
  • Your VAT returns stay with your accountant.

Tips, and the Tips and Gratuities Act 2022

The Payment of Wages (Amendment) (Tips and Gratuities) Act 2022 has applied since 1 December 2022. An employer has to display a notice of how tips and service charges are shared, and tips paid by card must be shared fairly among the staff.

What the bill records

Each tip is recorded with the payment it came with — cash, card or other — and a service charge can be set by party size and marked optional or compulsory, so the bill says which it was.

The tips ledger

The ledger adds up the tips and service charges taken and records each hand-out: which period, which named members of staff, and how it was split.

Your tips policy and the notice on the wall stay yours to write; the ledger is the record that shows you kept to them. It moves no money and works out no pay.

Timed promotions in an Irish restaurant

In an Irish restaurant, a timed promotion in Slotora never discounts alcohol, whatever else it takes off the menu. An early-bird menu on the food is still yours to run, on the days and hours you choose.

Guest data

A guest who asks for the data you hold on them, or asks to be erased, is answered from their guest card: the owner or a manager downloads it in one go, or erases the guest. That is how a GDPR request is handled whether the restaurant is in Cork or in Cardiff.

Be told the day it opens
