Help and support
Restaurant support that starts on the screen you already have open
The question usually arrives mid-service: how do I close the terrace for tonight, why can a six not book at eight, where did that booking go. The answer should be one tap from the host stand, not a phone queue — and when it needs a person, a person should get it, in writing.
There is no phone support and no live chat. Help is inside the product for restaurants that have signed up; until you have an account, write to hello@slotora.io.
Three layers, from quickest to most human
The help centre
Short, task-shaped articles: getting started, the host stand, walk-ins and the waiting list, phone and standing bookings, the floor plan, guests and their data, events, special days, the reports, the team. Each one is steps first, then the things worth knowing. It opens from Help on the host stand, as a drawer at the side, so the floor stays in view while you read.
The assistant
Type the question the way you would say it — “how do I stop online bookings after nine?” — and it answers in the language you asked in, with a link to the article it came from.
It writes the answer in its own words from the help articles and from your restaurant's own settings: opening hours, services, turn times, pacing, rooms and booking rules. It says that it is an AI assistant and can be wrong, it never sees a guest's name, booking, message or payment, and after a daily number of answers per restaurant it goes back to pointing at articles.
A person, by e-mail
Send to the Slotora team hands the question to the people who build Slotora. The panel tells you that it has gone and which address the answer will come to; the reply comes by e-mail from hello@slotora.io.
When it is serious, you do not have to ask twice
Some questions should never end in a help article. If you describe one of these to the assistant, it passes it to the Slotora team itself, even without the button:
- Bookings that have stopped arriving, or a booking that seems to be in two places at once.
- Data that has gone missing.
- A guest asking for their data, or for it to be erased, when you are not sure what to do.
- A payment that looks wrong, or a letter that mentions a solicitor.
- Simply asking for a person.
If the hand-over cannot be sent at that moment, the panel says so and gives you hello@slotora.io to write to directly, so the question is never left in a box nobody opens.
Help in your team's language
The help centre is written in English, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, German and French, like the rest of the screens, and each person reads it in the language they chose for their own login. The Polish runner on Saturday and the manager reading it on Monday get the same article, each in their own words.
A Friday question, start to finish
- 1
19:10 — the question
A regular rings for a table of seven at half eight and the online page will not offer it. The host opens Help from the stand and asks why.
- 2
19:11 — the article
The answer points at the booking rules: online parties above a set size become a request. The host takes the seven by phone instead, and the evening goes on.
- 3
Monday — the follow-up
The owner wants seven to be bookable online after all, but only on weekdays, and is not sure the rules allow it. Send to the Slotora team. A person replies by e-mail with how to set it up.
Questions about support
Can I phone you?
No. Slotora has no phone support, on purpose: an answer in writing can be forwarded to your manager, checked later and acted on when you have a minute, which on a service night a phone call cannot.
How fast will a person reply?
We do not print a reply time we have not measured. The panel tells you the question has reached the team and which address the answer will go to; serious problems are passed on without waiting for you to press anything.
Is there a chat window?
No live chat. The assistant inside the product is the quick route; the person behind it answers by e-mail.
Who do we ask before we sign up?
Write to hello@slotora.io; the contact page says what helps us answer in one go. The help centre is inside the product, so it opens for you on the day your restaurant does.
Do articles describe things we cannot use?
No. The help centre shows the articles for what your restaurant can use, so it never sends you looking for a button that is not there.
