After Quandoo: what a restaurant booking system has to do, and what Slotora does
Quandoo has stopped taking bookings and closes for good on 31 December 2026. This page sets out, with sources, what that leaves you with — and compares only what can be checked.
Side by side
| Quandoo | Slotora for restaurants | |
|---|---|---|
| Status | No new bookings since 30 September 2026; restaurant contracts ended that day. To be switched off on 31 December 2026. | The early-access list is open now. |
| What it is | A restaurant reservation platform, closing in every market it served. | Your own booking page, floor plan and host stand, with ordering, a kitchen display, the bill and payments, stock and the rota. Not a marketplace. |
| Your guest data | Exportable by restaurant partners until 31 December 2026; afterwards kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymised. No migration service. | Stays in your account. The file you export from your old system can be imported as CSV or Excel: you check how the columns are matched and see a preview first. One guest's data can be exported for a data-protection request. |
| Price | Contracts ended 30 September 2026. | In the UK, £99 a month per location for the first 100 paying restaurants, then £149. Unlimited bookings, no cover fee, no commission. Plus VAT where applicable. |

What you get at the host stand
A floor plan that is your room
Tables at their real size and in their real places, in every room you have. A booking sits on a table, so you see the evening the way the floor sees it.
Walk-ins and the waiting list
Seat a walk-in with one tap on the best free table, or put them on the waiting list with an honest estimate — guests can also add themselves from a QR code at the door. One tap takes them off when they are seated or leave.
One evening on every device
The tablet at the door, the one at the bar and a manager's phone show the same room at the same moment.
What Slotora deliberately does not do
- It does not list you in a diners' app or send you guests from one. It is your own booking page; guests come from your website, your profiles and your regulars.
- So it takes no commission on bookings from your own channels, and the price is one monthly amount per location.
- If being found in a diners' app matters more to you than that, OpenTable and TheFork run such apps in the UK — compare their current terms before you decide.
The move, in short
Export your bookings and guest list from Quandoo before 31 December 2026 — nobody can do that step for you once the year is out. Then, in Slotora, draw your room, set your services, and import the file: upcoming bookings arrive waiting for a table, past ones become each guest's history, and an import that went wrong can be undone. We help, if you want us to.
