Feature · Restaurant groups

Several restaurants, one menu, one view of the week

The second site doubles the work before it doubles the takings: two menus to keep in step, two logins, two sets of numbers on a Monday. Slotora lets the owner write the menu once and send it to every site, move between the restaurants from one login, and read the whole group's week in one report.

Each restaurant keeps its own account, its own team and its own floor plan; the group sits above them.

One menu, sent to every site

  1. Write it once

The owner keeps the group's menu centrally: the dishes, sizes and options, the 14 allergens on each, the photos and the names in your guests' languages.

  2. Each site sets its own prices

A burger in a city-centre site and the same burger in a market town are rarely the same price. Every restaurant sets its own, and leaves out the dishes it does not serve — the site with no pizza oven keeps the pizzas off its menu.

  3. Send when you are ready

Sending the menu to the sites is a step the owner takes, so a site never finds its menu changed in the middle of a Friday service. Change the risotto on Tuesday, send it on Wednesday morning.

One login that moves between the restaurants

On the web and in Slotora's app, the owner switches from one restaurant to the next without signing out.

Each site is its own

Underneath, every restaurant keeps its own account: its bookings, guests, team and settings. Switching signs the owner in to that restaurant's own owner login, which keeps one site's staff out of another's data.

Two-step, every time

The switch asks for the two-step code of the restaurant you move to. A stolen password for one site is not a key to all of them.

For owners

The switch belongs to the owner. Managers and hosts work in their own restaurant, with the logins that restaurant gave them.

The group's week in one report

The group report puts every site's days side by side, and leaves as a CSV for your accountant or your own spreadsheet.

  • See which site carried the weekend, and which Tuesday the whole group would rather forget.
  • Each site's own sales reports go deeper: takings, covers, the dish mix, the busy hours and kitchen times, for up to 92 days.
  • A group works in one currency, so restaurants in the UK and restaurants in Ireland form two groups.

Opening the second site

Most groups begin with one restaurant that works and a second that has to work quickly. The order that causes the least trouble:

  • Draw the new site's rooms to scale and place its tables, so its booking page offers real tables from the first day.
  • Invite its team: each person gets their own login for that restaurant, with the seat they need.
  • Set its own prices on the group menu, and leave out what its kitchen cannot cook.
  • Give it its own booking page and its own guest book. Guests of a neighbourhood restaurant book that restaurant, and its regulars stay its own.

From then on the menu goes out from the centre, and the Monday numbers come back in one report.

The price for a group

Per location

Slotora is priced per location, with everything included at each one. Up to four locations, each pays the standard monthly price, with no commission on bookings from your own channels.

Five sites and more

From 5 to 9 locations there is 10% off the standard price at every site; from 10 locations, we quote. The group discount does not stack with the Founding price.

Run the group, not the logins
