Your restaurant's Quandoo bookings: which still stand, and what to do with them
A guest who booked through Quandoo before 30 September 2026 for a later date still has a table, as far as Quandoo is concerned, and still expects it. What has gone is the system that would have reminded them, let them cancel, and shown you the booking on the night.
The timeline, as it touches your book
Quandoo announced on 26 March 2026 that it would close in every market it served. Read each date below for what it means for the bookings already in your diary, not for the company.
- 1
26 March 2026 — the announcement
From here on, every booking a guest made through Quandoo was made knowing, or not knowing, that the service had an end date. Most guests never read the news.
- 2
30 September 2026 — the last new booking
Nothing booked after this day came through Quandoo. Any booking in Quandoo's records was made on or before it — but it may be for any date after it, including Christmas.
- 3
1 October 2026 — the guest side switches off
The guest-facing service ended and restaurants can no longer handle bookings through Quandoo. In practice, a guest with a Quandoo booking has no button left to press: to cancel or change, they have to reach you.
- 4
Until 31 December 2026 — the export window
Restaurant partners can still export reservation data and guest lists, and Quandoo asks to be contacted by this date. It is your last chance to see every booking still pointing at your tables.
- 5
After that
The website and the systems behind it are taken down; the data is kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted or anonymised. A booking you did not export by then exists only in the guest's inbox.
Three kinds of booking you may be holding
Made before the cut-off, for a date still ahead
The common case, and the one that matters. Quandoo said these bookings stay valid and are expected to take place. The guest is coming. Treat it as yours, because it is.
A booking the guest thinks they made
Someone tried your old booking button in October and assumed it worked. There is no record anywhere. The only defence is a booking link that now leads somewhere live, and a phone that gets answered.
A booking that quietly fell away
A guest who would once have cancelled with a tap now has nowhere to tap. Some will phone; some will simply not come. Expect more empty tables from these bookings than from your own.
What to do with each booking, this week
- 1
Get the list out while you still can
Export every reservation dated after today. If the export is fiddly, ask Quandoo's support for it in writing now — the queue will only get longer towards December.
- 2
Put each one in the book you actually use
Paper, a spreadsheet or a new system: one place, so the evening is never split between a dead platform and a live diary. Write where it came from next to it.
- 3
Tell the guest, briefly
A short call or e-mail: you have their booking, Quandoo has closed, here is how to reach you if plans change. This is about their table, not marketing, and it turns a likely no-show into a confirmed cover.
- 4
Watch the big dates first
Large parties and December evenings carry the most risk and the most money. Confirm those before the rest.
On Slotora, those bookings would look like this
- Import the file you exported, CSV or Excel. The screen suggests which column is the date, the time, the party size and the guest; you check each match and look at a preview before anything is saved.
- Every upcoming booking arrives confirmed, at its date and time, but without a table: your host places each one on the floor plan, so you decide where the December party of twelve sits well before the night.
- The past bookings in the same file become visit history, so a returning guest's card shows their visits and no-shows from the first evening. Import the file twice and nothing is doubled; if the columns were matched wrongly, undo the import and run it again.
- A booking that never made it into any file — the guest who rings to say they booked in October — is entered by phone at the host stand, with a note saying where it came from.
The export cannot wait: only you can get the file out of Quandoo, and only until the end of the year. In Slotora, we help you with the import if you want a hand.
Hear when it opens
One e-mail, on the day we open. If you are carrying Quandoo bookings into the new year, add a phone number and say so — we will call.
Quandoo bookings: questions restaurants ask
Do I have to honour a booking a guest made through Quandoo?
Quandoo said that bookings for dates after 30 September 2026 remain valid and are expected to take place. The guest booked a table at your restaurant and will turn up expecting one.
Will Quandoo still remind my guests or confirm their bookings?
Do not rely on it. Its services for guests ended on 1 October 2026. If a reminder matters, send it yourself.
How does a guest cancel a Quandoo booking now?
Not through Quandoo: restaurants can no longer handle bookings there, so there is nothing left for the guest to press. They have to contact you, which is why your phone number and e-mail need to be easy to find.
Until when can I see my Quandoo bookings?
Until 31 December 2026, the last day for exports. After that the platform is switched off.
Can Slotora read my Quandoo bookings automatically?
Not automatically, and not from Quandoo: Slotora never connects to it. You export your bookings yourself before the end of the year, then import that CSV or Excel file. The import suggests which column holds what, you confirm it and see a preview, and an import can be undone. Upcoming bookings arrive without a table for your host to place.
