Feature · Staff and devices
Your whole restaurant team on one floor, on any screen
The person on the door seats a four. The bar sees table 9 taken before they pour. The manager, on the phone in the office, sees it too. Nobody shouted across the room.
Runs in the web browser of a tablet or a phone. No seat licences and no per-device charge.
One evening, many screens
The same floor everywhere
Every tablet and phone signed in for the evening shows the same plan. A table seated, moved or cleared on one appears on the others, without anyone pressing refresh.
As many people as you employ
Staff and devices are unlimited in the one monthly price. The Saturday runner works from it just like the head waiter does, and costs nothing extra.
A screen you already own
An existing tablet at the stand and the phones in your team's pockets are enough. There is no box to install and nothing to wire up behind the bar.
Slotora's app for iPad, Android tablets and phones has a restaurant mode with the same floor, and the browser on the tablet or phone your team carries tonight runs it too.
A login for each person, not one for the building
The shared password on a sticky note behind the bar is how a booking gets moved and nobody knows by whom.
Invited by a link
From the Team screen you create an invitation and send the link to the person yourself — by message, by e-mail, however you reach them. They open it and have their own login.
Two kinds of seat
A host-stand seat for the people who run the door and the floor; a manager seat for the people who also look after the settings. There is no separate read-only seat.
Gone when they go
When someone leaves, the owner removes their login, and a manager can remove a host-stand login. Their access ends there; what they changed stays in the log.
A busy half hour, from three places
- 1
19:58, the door
A party of five arrives early. The host moves their booking to the free window table on the tablet.
- 2
19:58, the bar
The bar tablet shows the window table taken, so the couple waiting for it with a drink are told the truth: the next two-top, in about fifteen minutes.
- 3
20:20, the office
The manager, on a phone, sees the room filling and closes the terrace to online bookings for the rest of the night. The door sees the change at once.
Every change has a name on it
With more people on more screens, the question “who did that?” comes up more often. The activity log answers it: each change, who made it and when, kept for two years — and because everyone signs in as themselves, “who” is a person, not “the iPad”. It is not there to catch anyone out; it is there so that a booking that moved can be put back without anybody having to remember.
Questions about staff and devices
Which tablets work?
Any tablet or phone with an up-to-date web browser. Most restaurants start with the one already at the door.
What happens if two people change the same booking?
Each change reaches every other screen straight away, so the second person sees the first change before making theirs, and the log records both.
Do I pay more for a second tablet or a new waiter?
No. Staff and devices are unlimited; the price is per location, not per person or per screen.
Can the Saturday runner share the head waiter's login?
They could, but they do not need to: inviting another person costs nothing, takes one link from the Team screen, and keeps their changes under their own name. Remove the login the day they leave.
