The day, the week and a month overview. Hold an appointment and drag it to a new time — it snaps to your own slot step, and the app refuses the drops the server would refuse anyway, so you never get a rejection after the fact. The guest is emailed about the change, exactly as they would be from the browser.
Take the money at the counter
Open a booking, press Take payment, and collect the balance whichever way suits you: a QR code the guest scans, a SumUp or Square reader through their app on that same phone or tablet, a Stripe Terminal reader, or cash. Tips, receipts, refunds and part-payments are all there. Slotora takes 0% of it.
Cash still works when the wifi doesn't
Salons lose signal — basements, thick walls, a router at the wrong end of the shop — and a guest standing there with cash in their hand is not a good moment to find out. Money taken offline is written to the phone straight away and sent the second a signal returns, and the app tells you plainly which of the two just happened rather than pretending it landed.
“How much is left on this?”
A guest puts a gift card or a session pass on the counter and asks. Type the code and you get the balance, the history, and a button to spend it against today's appointment. This one the browser genuinely cannot do — it is the app's own answer to a question that gets asked at the till every week.
The client book, with you
Every client, their visit history, their notes, their tags and their no-shows, searchable from the floor. Book someone in, reassign them, charge a no-show fee or refund a payment without walking back to the desk.
Close the day before you lock up
The day-end count lists the takings by method and by person, works out what the drawer should hold, and shows you the difference the moment you type in what you actually counted. Reports for the week and the month are in the same place.
Your clients do not need an app, and never will. They book on a web page that works in any browser on any phone, and change or cancel from a link in their email. Nothing to download is one less reason for them not to book.
Two things stay in a browser on purpose, because a phone is the wrong tool for them: pasting the booking widget into your website, and uploading a client spreadsheet. Everything else the browser does, the app does.
