Salon booking software for Ireland

Free salon booking software for Irish salons — €0 a month, 0% commission

Slotora is free for salons, barbers, nail and beauty professionals in the Republic of Ireland. Unlimited appointments, unlimited staff, no commission on any booking. Built for how Ireland actually works: the 9% and 13.5% VAT split, Eircodes, +353 numbers and the Irish public holidays.

€0/month · unlimited bookings · unlimited staff · 0% commission · no contract · export everything and leave whenever you like

Your VAT changed on 1 July 2026, and most software has not caught up

Hairdressing moved to the 9% second reduced rate; beauty treatments — nails, lashes, waxing, facials, brows — stayed at 13.5%, and retail products and sunbeds are 23%. A salon that does a cut and a set of brows in the same visit now charges two different rates on one appointment. Slotora carries VAT on the service, not on the salon, so a mixed price list is simply right. If you are under the €42,500 services threshold and not VAT-registered, nothing changes for you and no rate appears at all.

Eircode, not postcode

An Eircode identifies one property rather than a street, which is why more than a third of Irish addresses share their written address with another. A form built around a UK postcode gets this wrong twice: it rejects valid Eircodes, and it assumes an address is unique. Slotora takes the Eircode as its own field, treats it as optional the way the law does, and never demands a house number — because a great many Irish addresses do not have one.

The Irish calendar, not the British one

Ireland has ten public holidays and the UK has a different set. St Brigid's Day and St Patrick's Day are ours; the June and October holidays are ours; Good Friday is not a public holiday here whatever the banks do. And the August holiday falls on the FIRST Monday in Ireland and the last in England. Your opening hours follow the Irish calendar without you setting anything.

Deposits and no-shows

Deposits are ordinary in Ireland and the law is on your side: an appointment booked for a specific date and time is outside the fourteen-day cooling-off right, and a deposit does not have to be returned because somebody changed their mind. Slotora takes the deposit on your own Stripe account — the money is yours from the moment it is captured, not ours to release — and shows your cancellation terms before the client confirms, which is the part that makes them enforceable.

What it costs, in one line

€0 a month. No booking cap, no staff cap, no commission on bookings, gift cards or passes, and no percentage of your card payments — those run through your own Stripe account and Stripe charges you directly. What costs money, and none of it is required: text messages, the AI work you ask Nita for — in credits, per use — and the AI phone receptionist. There is no contract and no notice period, and you can export everything you have ever put in, at any time, for nothing.

How that compares

Treatwell publishes a 35% commission on a new client's first booking. Fresha publishes 20% on a new marketplace client, with a minimum, and withdrew its free plan in 2025. Booksy publishes €44 a month plus €5 for each extra staff member. Phorest — Dublin-founded and the best-known name here — publishes no price at all, and asks you to request a quote. We would rather you could read ours without talking to anybody: it is zero.

Your own page, on your own site

Your booking page lives at its own address and can be embedded straight into your website or linked from Instagram, and a client never has to create an account with us to book. Half of Irish hair salons have no website of their own; if that is you, the booking page is one, with your photos, your prices, your hours and your Eircode on the map.

Where your data lives

In the EU. Slotora is operated from the UK by Belavin Ltd and the database sits inside the European Union, which is a question Irish salons ask before they move a client list — and a reasonable one, because a booking system holds names, phone numbers and, for some treatments, health notes.

What the others charge in Ireland

Published prices only. Where a company does not publish one, the table says so rather than guessing.

Questions Irish salons ask

Is it really free, or free until it is busy?

Free with no booking cap and no staff cap. The limits that usually end a free plan — a monthly booking count, a seat count — do not exist here. What costs money is SMS, the AI assistant and the AI phone line, and you can run the whole system without any of them.

Can it charge 9% on hair and 13.5% on beauty in the same appointment?

Yes. The VAT rate belongs to the service, so a salon doing both simply sets each one and the invoice comes out right.

Do I need to be VAT-registered?

No. Ireland's registration threshold for services is €42,500 and most single-chair businesses are below it. If you are not registered, Slotora shows no VAT at all.

Can I move my clients over from Phorest, Fresha or Treatwell?

Yes, and it costs nothing. Export what you have and we will import it — and if you ever want to leave us, your export is free too, which is not true everywhere.

Will it take a deposit?

Yes, through your own Stripe account, so the money is the salon's rather than passing through us. You can set a percentage or a fixed amount per service, and late-cancellation and no-show terms alongside it.

Do you take a commission on bookings?

No. Not on appointments, not on gift cards, not on passes, and not on card payments.

May we measure which pages actually help? “Accept all” also lets us measure our own adverts.

What exactly does this mean?

We'd like to use Google Analytics to see which pages help and which don't, and to remember which poster, flyer or message of ours — or which salon's recommendation — brought you here. Accept all also allows a Meta advertising pixel, so we can tell which of our own adverts brought a salon that signed up — and if you create an account, our server sends Meta your email address scrambled (hashed), never as readable text, with your IP address, your browser's details and Meta's own cookie ids — never your name — purely so it can recognise that the sign-up came from an advert. None of this runs on a salon's own booking page. Everything the service itself needs works either way. Cookie Policy
