Working hours, days off, holidays and blocked time
Your weekly hours and split shifts, a day that is different (including opening a day you normally have off), public holidays, time off, blocking an hour from the calendar, and pausing online booking.
Your weekly hours
Working hours in the left menu holds each team member's week. Add several time slots in a day for a split shift; a day with no slots is a day off. A staff login can change only her own hours.
A day that is different: date exceptions
'Date exceptions' are days that differ from your weekly hours — 'Closed all day', or special opening times. They work both ways: an exception with hours opens a day you normally have off, for that date only. An exception overrides the weekly hours for that one date, and 'The whole team' sets it for everybody at once. You can do the same from the calendar: 'Change this day's hours' on a day opens or closes it, and 'Back to the normal week' undoes it.
Public holidays
'Public holidays (automatic closing)' lists your country's holidays for the next 18 months. Tick a day and it becomes a closed date exception for every team member; days you set by hand are never changed.
Breaks
'Breaks' holds one continuous stretch of time for one person — a delivery, a course, a holiday, sick leave — from a date and time to a date and time. It overrides both the weekly hours and date exceptions. This is the same entry the calendar writes, so a break added there appears here and the other way round.
Adding a break from the calendar
For a lunch, a delivery or the school run, tap an empty time in the calendar and choose 'Add a break': the date, when it starts, how long (up to 24 hours), and whose diary. The note is only for you. From then on the diary does not offer that time. A staff login can add a break to her own column only.
Going away at short notice
To stop online booking for a while without touching your hours, switch on 'Pause online booking' under Settings → Your public profile. Your page stays up, and everything already in your diary stays as it is.
In the app
The app's Working hours screen has the same three parts — the weekly hours, exceptions and breaks — and a screen for public holidays.
