Free for you, and here is precisely what that means
Educators get the whole academy system at no charge. Not a trial of it, not a cut-down version of it — the courses, the students, the register, the certificates, the portal and the letters.
What you pay us for the academy: nothing
There is no monthly fee for an academy, no charge per student and no per-course fee. And because your students' money never passes through Slotora, there is nothing for us to take a percentage of.
- No limit on courses, groups, students or teachers.
- You invoice your students yourself, the way you already do.
- You do not need a Slotora salon to have an academy. If you only teach, you only teach.
What is paid, and where
Slotora also makes booking software for salons, and that side has a small number of paid extras. None of them is part of the academy system: courses do not send text messages, so no SMS credit is needed to run one.
- If you also run a salon with us, the booking software is £0 a month at 0% commission, and the extras are listed in full on our pricing page.
- Nothing on the academy side is behind one of those extras.
- Nothing here charges your students either: her portal, her pack and her certificate cost her nothing.
What we do to get you going
The awkward part of moving is not learning a new screen, it is typing three years of courses into it. So we do that part with you: tell us what you teach, and we put your programmes and your groups in and show you what it looks like when it is done.
- Your courses put in for you, with their dates, places and prices.
- Your existing class lists brought over from whatever spreadsheets they are in.
- A person to ask, in writing, who answers — usually the same day.
Which languages it is in
The academy console is in English, Hungarian, Romanian, Polish and German. Your public course pages and your students' portal follow the language of your academy, so a course you teach in Hungarian reads in Hungarian to everybody who sees it.
- Your certificate, the letters and the portal are all in the academy's language.
- The public course finder is open to anybody, without an account.
- If you teach in a language we are not in yet, tell us — it is a decision, not a technical limit.
Questions about cost
What is the catch?
There is no catch and there is no percentage. We make the booking software beauty salons use, and educators are how most of those salon owners learned the trade. A system that makes you better at teaching them is worth more to us than a subscription fee.
Do I need a salon on Slotora to use this?
No. An academy stands on its own. If you teach and do not run a salon, you get an academy and nothing about a salon is asked of you.
Do my students pay anything to Slotora?
No. They pay you, for your course, the way they do now. Their portal, their certificate and their graduation pack cost them nothing.
