The calendar: day, week and month, quick booking, moving and blocking time

How the calendar works: its three views and what the marks mean, booking straight from an empty time, dragging a booking to a new time, blocking time, and the list of every booking.

Day, week and month

Calendar in the left menu opens on the week. 'Day' shows one column per team member, 'Week' one column per day with the person's name on each booking, and 'Month' shows day cells that open the day. The chips at the top — 'Everyone' and one per person — choose whose bookings you see. A staff login sees only her own bookings.

What the marks mean

  • A booking takes the colour of the person doing it
  • Dashed — waiting for your approval, or for a payment
  • A dot — a deposit or the full amount has been paid
  • A ring — the client's first visit
  • A tick — completed
  • Time off shows as a band across the column

Booking from the calendar

Tap an empty time and a quick form opens: the client, the service, the team member, the time, the price and a note, then 'Book it'. For extra services, a repeat, or booking outside your rules, use 'Full appointment form', which is New booking. On a wide screen you can also drag a client from the clients panel onto the calendar. If the client has an email address, they get a confirmation with their own link.

Moving a booking

Drag a pending or confirmed booking to its new time and press Move. The client is emailed the new time, and for a few seconds you can undo it. If the new time breaks one of your rules, see 'Overlapping bookings'.

Blocking time and changing one day

Tap an empty time and choose 'Block this time off' for a break, a lunch or a delivery. 'Change this day's hours' on a day opens or closes it, for one person or the whole team, and 'Back to the normal week' undoes it.

Every booking in a list

Bookings in the left menu lists every appointment, newest first: search by the client's name, phone or email, choose dates, and filter by status. It is not open to staff logins.

In the app

The app's calendar has day, week and month views too. Long-press a booking to pick it up and move it. In the day view, tapping a free stretch blocks that time rather than starting a booking; New booking is in the menu and in the calendar.

May we measure which pages actually help? “Accept all” also lets us measure our own adverts.

What exactly does this mean?

We'd like to use Google Analytics to see which pages help and which don't, and to remember which poster or flyer brought you here. Accept all also allows a Meta advertising pixel, so we can tell which of our own adverts brought a salon that signed up — and if you create an account, your name and email address go to Meta scrambled (hashed), never as readable text, purely so it can recognise that the sign-up came from an advert. None of this runs on a salon's own booking page. Everything the service itself needs works either way. Cookie Policy
