Group classes: let clients choose their spot

Number the places in a class — mats, bikes, reformers — so clients pick a free one when they book, and move someone to a different spot from the booking.

Open a group class under 'Services & prices' and tick 'Guests choose their spot'. Each place in the class gets a number, from 1 up to the class's capacity.

What clients see

When they book, they see 'Choose your spot', with the free and the taken places. Choosing is optional: anyone who does not choose gets the first free spot.

At the desk

  • The booking shows 'Spot in the class' and the number, and you can move the client to a different free spot
  • A client you add yourself, and the later dates of a repeating booking, get the lowest free spot
  • A booking for several people takes one spot
  • In the newest version of the app the tick is in the service editor, and the spot is on the booking

May we measure which pages actually help? “Accept all” also lets us measure our own adverts.

What exactly does this mean?

We'd like to use Google Analytics to see which pages help and which don't, and to remember which poster, flyer or message of ours — or which salon's recommendation — brought you here. Accept all also allows a Meta advertising pixel, so we can tell which of our own adverts brought a salon that signed up — and if you create an account, our server sends Meta your email address scrambled (hashed), never as readable text, with your IP address, your browser's details and Meta's own cookie ids — never your name — purely so it can recognise that the sign-up came from an advert. None of this runs on a salon's own booking page. Everything the service itself needs works either way. Cookie Policy
